C21U digital learning specialists have a broad scope of knowledge and experience working with educational technology of all kinds. We are here to serve as a resource for faculty and researchers at Georgia Tech, as well as a conduit for external digital learning partnerships and collaborations.
Projects
The following are examples of C21U’s work in digital learning:

Digital Credentials Consortium: Collaboration with 12 international universities focused on the creation of verifiable infrastructure for digital credentials of academic achievement.

SkillSync: Collaboration with Eduworks, USG, and the Credential Engine to develop prototypes of digital tools to support critical workforce reskilling in the United States.

Course Description Tool: Canvas tool that allows facult to provide brief details of their course plans to assist students in course selection and planning for the upcoming semester.

Key Performance Indicator Tool: Canvas tool that provides instructors with course-specific weekly snapshots of how students are performing.

Matt Lisle, Director of Digital Learning Technologies
Matt Lisle is the Director of Digital Learning Technologies at the Center for 21st Century Universities. He brings a combination of professional and academic experience in the fields of instructional design, web design and development, and content strategy to his work. His main professional focus is the creation and development of technology-enhanced learning experiences.
Stuart Freeman, Application Developer Lead
Stuart joined Georgia Tech in 2007 as a developer in the newly formed Office of Education Technology, initially to develop the open source LMS ‘Sakai’. He has continued to customize and maintain the campus LMS while also working on innovative new products and systems. He obtained his B.S. in Computer Science from Valdosta State University, where he became an advocate for free and open-source software.
Chris Yang, Application Developer II
Chris Yang is an app developer with experience in instruction and teaching assistance. He is passionate about creating software that enhances student and teacher interaction.
